page 97 Henry died and was buried on the 20th June 1773 of Sittinglow. PR. Henry's wife Mary died and was buried on the 25th May 1782. Henry left a Will which was proved on the 15th Oct 1773. at Bakewell. He signed it in his owen hand - very shaky but very neat and elaborate and legible, he spells it without the G. Wittness being / Dyson, Thomas Shirt & William Barker all in own hand. I Henry Marchington of Sittinglow. : give my younger sons Manassah & Ephiarm £30. To my other sons: Henry, Philip & James 5 shillings a piece. to make provisions for Mary my wife. John was given the Sittinglow - Loads moor estate absolute and had to make payments to his brothers. h.4.1 John Marchington.1732. Sittinglow. follow link. h.4.2. Henry Marchington.1734., Possibly married Grace Kirk on the 11 March 1753. Grace died in 1781. Henry was of Townend and in his fathers Will it states Henry received property in Chapel. They had no children. Henry died on the 20 Dec1813 late of Town End, Chapel. In his will he left his estate to his nephews & nieces of who they were: John Williamson, Barbara & William Potts, Thomas & Ellen Chatterton, John Taylor, Geo' Taylor, Joseph Taylor, James Taylor, Ellen Taylor, John & Ann Arnfield. There are no Marchington nephew or nieces mentioned in the will?. It may be that he had a falling out with his side of the family and cut them out of the will?
h.4.2.3 William Marchington.1740., probably died young not record of such in parish book or Chinley chapel book or Cleggs diary. Notes: , John , Henry, Philip, James, Mansfred, Ephraim, , are the only children mention in Henry's will of 1773. h.4.2.4 James Marchington.1737., Possibly moved to Surrey. his brother shows up there and James is mentioned in his brothers will as a cloth manufacturer and has a son Richard.
h.4.2..6 Ephraim Marchington. 1745. Sittinglow. There is a Will for an Ephraim proved on the 5th Feb 1787 late of Gravel lane Surrey. Ephraim's signs his name without the G but in the body of the text it's spelt with the g. He mentions a child called Ann Lovett and set outs a sum of £140 to support Ann until she reaches the age of 21 her mother being Mary Lovett, possible a love child. If Ann should die he leaves his estate to his brother James cloth manufacturer of Surrey or failing that to his nephew Richard son of James. h.4.3.7 Phillip Marchington1736., Sittinglow. Could have emigrated to north America as there is a mention of a Philip
being a merchant in North America. If so he married on the 12 Nov1776, to a
