Jane died on the 13 April 1820 age 32 stated of  Sittinglow.

It looks like Henry was courting his cousin Mary Marchington and as such she fell pregnant having a child:
Elizabeth on the 29th July 1820. Which means ever she fell pregnant to Henry whilst his first wife was alive which I doubt or Henry took Mary & the child on -  and the child was to some other man? and they courted after the death of Jane and after the birth of elizabeth.
Henry & Mary married on the 18th May 1821. Henry is stated as a widow Mary a spinster. They had further children being:

The farm on Sittinglow is being farmed by Joseph Needham & his family around 1861(census), 17acres only. Joseph being the former  labourer at Sittinglow Farm to Philip Marchington Johns uncle.  Possibly John move to Plumpton to farm on his own before the death of his father Henry.  Philip possible leased Sittinglow farm before 1851 to  Joseph Needham and then retired to Chapel - Townend next to his brother Henry.  Its possible that Philip only leased the farm himself from his brother Henry or Philip sold it to Henry which ever it ends up in the hands of John as later John takes over the farm as show in the 1881 census.  John was also a carpenter and probably made a better living out of this then his farming as the farm had been reduced in size and now was only 37 acres which will not return a profit but would sustain a family. Now Johns younger brother Henry seems to have inherited their fathers farm called Warmbrook House. In the Registry of Persons Entitled to vote 1868-1869 John is stated as of Sittinglow and the farm is Freehold also hes stated as owning houses in Townend. now there is family knowledge that the family did construct houses along the main road at Townend as mentioned by Bryan Marchington also along the top end.

Harry Marchington sold Sittinglow farm to the present owners The Buckley's in 1952. Don Buckley is of Hallam decent. The Hallam's have farmed and live alongside the Machington's for centuries in around the Peak Forest area, many marriages have taken place between the two families.

John (Jack) Marchington.1898.  Chapel. no trace of Jack as yet. Possibly link to the following

Don Buckley currently farming at Sittinglow: tells of William Harry Marchington's great auntie Sarah, requesting her father Philip to build a front parlour onto the farmhouse of Sittinglow Farm, in order to entertain. To which he did.
Don Buckley recalls when the front wall of the kitchen fell down. While they where building a new wall they took the opportunity to remove an old cheese press from the kitchen. This press is now in the front garden.
The press is  one  meter high by 500cm square, made of granite.
The main farmhouse is of a very old construction featuring roof beams cut from tree branches/ trucks, I've seen
similar constructions in old houses in Mottram where I use to live with date stones 0f 1609. The building as been added to over time.
There is a well in the kitchen now covered over. One building in the courtyard which is now a cattle shed was, at one time a farm labourers dwelling. This has build was demolished in 2002.

Don has in his possession an old rate book for Chapel parish which details the rentable value of the local farmers and land. Philip Marchington of Sittinglow Farm is featured in it along with John Marchington of Halsteads farm. The date being 1806. Photo. The deeds for Sittinglow farm contain the names Machington as previous owners.

At the end of the farm 'Don states, that their is still a very boggy field where a spring opens up. This may be the boggy area where Dr James Clegg became stuck,   where a member of the Marchington family help to free him.

Land behind Cross Cottages which was farmed by Marchington's who lived in the cottages use to belong to Sittinglow and Halsteads farms.
It is probable that these small plots where taken from the family estate and as such the farms were split with family members retaining small holdings. These small plots are now back in the ownership of Sittinglow & Halsteads Farm. This area of land to which Sittinglow is part of in the area of Hallsteads now Dove Holes has been farmed  by Machington's from the 16th century. To which it is mentioned in the Duchy of Lancaster Court Rolls. Sittinglow is the name of the hill. Low is the old English word for Hill with a burial mound. With reference to Dr Cleggs book 'Besoms' is the term used for the moorland  heather plant, which was used to make brooms.

The Hallam's have been farming on this hill for many centuries. There are no mentions of the name Hallam in the court rolls, however there is a 'Halley' mentioned in 1439. This could be a mispronunciation of Hallam. It is without doubt that the name Hallam is of Danish origin, as such it may date back to a time when the Danish settlers came to this area of Derbyshire in 940. A.D. ?? - further checks on going... Thomas Hallam who was farming at Higher Eaves had a daughter Hannah Hallam in 1800. who married John Marchington.1801 in 1829. John Marchington was from Halstead farm.

Ada Lomas. Marchington. remembers her Grandfather John1822. being a very poor singer in church, John was always the last to sing at the end of the hymns, to which his very poor voice stood out. "He actually though he was a good singer", Ada recalls.
Ada stated that the farm was only a part of the livelihood of the family and most of the boys had trades to which they obtained a living  Ada's  brother ' Wilfred,  had a twin sister who died at birth. " Their were no midwifes in those days the old lady from down the road would deliver the baby if it lived it lived, if it died it died as such many burials of babies were not recorded". Ada stated.

Ada tells of her auntie Elizabeth who was a spinster. Elizabeth owned a Guest house in Buxton. Catering for the stars of the theatre. She recalls that due to the bigotry of the day in 1912. many performer with ethnic origins where not allowed to  reside at the high class Hotels of the town, due to the fact that many Gentry of the day actually lived in the Hotels. As such many famous people of that time lodge with Elizabeth, one notable name being Anna Pavlova the Russia opera singer. Geoff Clure: grandson inlaw to Frances E S Marchington.1894.: My wife's Marchington Line through her Gran Frances, we were aware of the Farm at Luzley as we used to live around the corner from there a few years ago (only 2 mile away now) and the Hare & Hounds there was my local (the only pub in Luzley), although we could not pinpoint exactly which farm it was.
The twins Frances and Ruth were like peas in a pod even at the ripe old age when I knew them, but I was not aware that they had Twin Brothers. My wife remembers John William as in the photo but didn't know he was a twin, (twins must run through the line as my daughter gave birth to twins last year, and our friend Madeline (the other Marchington Line) has twin brothers.
