g.1.4.2.1 William Marchington.1885. Salford. 24 Oct 1885 Married a miss Ada Fish in Salford in 1910. Ada was born on the 27 Nov 1885. Children: William shows up in the following census of 1901 living with his parents in Pendleton, Salford as follows:. 1901
Census. 3717/119/21/137. 58 Scales St, Pendleton,
Salford. William married a Miss Ada Fish in the Salford district in the last quarter of the year of 1910. They had one child Eileen born in Salford. William left for the USA as described in the Emigration passenger list entry:
On the original document it states a relatives name & address: Wife, Ada Marchington, 100 Highfield Rd. Manchester. also occupation being a Machinist. Final destination is stated as Hamilton, possibly in Ohio. Interesting above in the Ancestry.com extract is a mention of a Mr J Fishe, one would assume that its Ada's relation whom William has given as possibly visiting, but there is no mention of it on the original document. There was a J Fish/e who had arrived on earlier ship that month of April. Ada must have followed later on. Ada must have been in the early stages of pregnancy with Eileen when William left in April 1912 as Eileen was born in the last quarter of the year 1912.There is no record of Ada & Eileen arriving in the USA but clearly they did at some point. They later on went to Canada as they had two children born there, and later moved back into the USA. William is recorded again as entering the USA via New York on board the Cunard ship Mauretania on the 21 Oct 1955 having left Southampton on the 15th Oct. Address family address being : 1214 Nelson Av, Modesto, Calif, Passport number. 568865 England, Carrying 4 pieces of luggage. In the 1920 Census the family are as follows: 1920 Census. E/Distict 5 Sheet No. 43. Address: 128 Soloman Av, Hempstead, Nassau, New York (Rented)
It looks like Ada's sister Mary Carrol is living with them and their immigration data is the same as such she may have travelled with her sister to meet up with there husbands In
the 1930 Census the family are as follows:
