Basically what it states is that the present King Eadred on his death bed in 951AD has given Wulfhelm 'one of the Kings Earls, grants of lands (Manors). One such Manor being the Manor of Marchington in Staffordshire. Wulfhelms heirs would later lose the Manor to Henri Ferrers one of the Duke of Normandy's  (William the conqueror)  Generals at the battle of Hastings.
