At the time of the 1841 census, Martha is stated as being 4 years old. Living with her parents at Halstead farm.

1861 census for Bowden Clough shows Martha is married to Lawrence Potts

Martha  died around 1867. leaving two children mention in her fathers will of 1868. being, William and Frances (girl).

At the time of the 1881 census.  Lawrence Potts is remarried with another 6 children. His given home is in the area of  Hallsteads. Dwelling unknown.
